Mount Lofty Botanic Garden’s 40th Birthday

Premium Link-Up

Can you believe Mount Lofty Botanic Garden opened to the public for the first time 40 years ago – 5 November 1977 to be precise? We're putting on a free event to celebrate, and you're invited!

From 10pm to 3pm on Sunday 5 November 2017 you can enjoy food trucks, live music, nature play activities for the kids, and beer, wine and cider from local Adelaide Hills producers.

Food vendors include La Cantina Co. Mexican Street Kitchen and Soza's Sri Lankan Street Food, and there'll be live music from Adelaide Big Band, ABB All-Stars and ABB Revue.

There'll also be plants on sale, guided walks of the Garden, and a diversity of native seeds under the microscope, thanks to the South Australian Seed Conservation Centre.

The event will be held in the Garden's popular picnic area, near the Lower Carpark.

Visitors can head to the Crafers Park 'n' Ride and then jump on a free shuttle bus to and from the event, with the service running on a continuous loop from 10am to 3pm (first pick up from Crafers is 10am, last shuttle departing the Garden is at 3pm).

Come and enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon vibe, with music and activities in a beautiful hills icon.

Uraidla & Summertown Country Show
