Summer’s Day

February 16, 2014 by

Kidsafe Queensland is holding the inaugural “Summer’s Day” in honour of 4 year old Summer Steer who died as the result of a preventable injury. Summer’s Day represents all children who have been injured, disabled or killed.

Join us on 28 February 2014 to support for those parents, siblings and extended families who are still grieving the loss of a child; a permanent disability; a disfigurement; suffering of any child/family member from preventable injuries.

Each year will highlight a different causal factor but this year – 2014 – is about coin/button batteries and a relaunch of the button battery campaign.

The day will be held annually on the last day of summer (28th or 29th February).
